Text Box: Using the 2” Adapter.  
Step 1.  Identify the holes on the 2” tongue marked for the 4” bolts.  



Step 2. Place the Adapter under the 2” tongue.  Insert the 2 bolts through the tongue and adapter and tighten down using 2 wrenches. 

Important Adapter Notes:   
Tighten the bolts down with enough tension to ensure stability. Be sure they are tight.  Loose bolts cause the platform to rock. Be cautious not to over tighten. Too much tension could crush the tube.
Don’t use the first hole on the 2” tongue.  You could possibly crush the tongue.
Be sure to use the washers provided.
Use only the bolts provided.




   ***Optional  Tiedown Ideas***     _         

Strapping the 2 Gallon Gas Can to the unit. 

Step 1.  Use a simple bungee strap to tie down the 2 gallon gas can to the PPGC2 frame by resting the gas can on the ledge of the PPG Transporter.

Step 1. Securely connect one end of the bungee to the underneath of the platform, weave the bungee through the gas can handle and connect the second end to the frame of the PPGC2.  See picture above.

          **** Important****

Make sure the bungee strap is good and snug for transporting so the gas can will not drop off the Platform during transit.

Oil and mix measuring device transport.

Step 1.  Take 2 old tube socks and place oil in one tube sock and the mix measuring device in the second

Step 2 Weave one sock through the gas can and using the second sock tie it to the fist sock end.   Secure the dangling socks with the oil and mix device inside ends them inside the PPG cage somehow.  See picture above.


Securing Extra Nylon Tie-Down Strap Slack.

Step1.   Once the PPG is tied to the frame of the PPGC2. neatly roll up the Tie-Down  straps ends and tie with plastic tiestraps.
Text Box: Guidelines
When using the Carriers the user must understand the precautions.  The points listed below will encourage safety.

Cary PPG motors that can attach safely and use high-weight rated loading straps with sturdy ratchets to securely fasten the PPG motor to the carrier. The Carrier is rated to hold the weight of any Man-pack portable PPG motor.
Mounting points are provided throughout the carrier to distribute the load evenly.
Adjust the Stop Stay bolt to aid in locating the exact stop point for the receiver pin.  Use a socket wrench and standard box end wrench to tighten and loosen the bolts.
For your safety, obey all posted speed limits and traffic cautions. Adapt your speed to the conditions of the road and the load being carried.
Edges are square and should be considered when walking around the platform.
Casters are not covered under warranty.  Replacement casters can be found at various hardware stores.
Mats are not covered under warranty.  Mats can be found at any department store.  Tie down replacement mats using plastic tie straps.
Keep tongue of carrier adequately lubricated with WD40.
Always check to be sure the receiver pin is securely fastened.
Do not use the carrier for other that what it was designed and intended.
Warranty does not cover contents carried on the platform.

Step 1.  Remove the 4 carabineers from  shipping tape.
Step 2. Place each Carabineer in the designated holes located at of 4 quadrants of the Carrier.

Instructions.

Step 1. Apply WD40 to the tongue of the carrier to allow the carrier to slide in and out of the auto receiver freely.

Step 2.  Adjust the Stop Stay Bolt:  ( Used to align the neck of receiver hole with the carrier hole when inserting the carrier.) Insert the carrier into the vehicle’s receiver and align the receiver pin holes.  Insert the pin.  Identify and mark the appropriate hole on the top side of  neck where the Stop Stay bolt and washer should be with the pen. 

Step 3. Pull the carrier out of the receiver and place the bolt in the marked hole and tighten down the Stop Stay bolt using box end wrenches. 






Step 4. Reattach the carrier to the vehicle and securely insert the receiver pin.

Step 5.  Mount the PPG to the carrier. Use as many ratchet tie down straps as needed to securely fasten equipment to carrier.  Make sure equipment is secure.  

 

Step 6. Tuck or tie off slack strapping so it will not stream or drag behind the vehicle while driving.
