Twelve PowrParagators participated in the First Annual Powerparagators meets the Easter Bunny Egg Drop at Vista View Park.  We  took off, one at a time, circling, until we were all airborne, and then we  made our approach over the parachute drop zone,  unloading our payload of sweet treats  in 3 or 4  circuits. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. There were approximately 130 spectators eager and ready catch the Eggs.  The kids could hardly contain themselves as (Ground Control), held them back until the last of the flyers landed after dropping over a hundred parachutes with a sweet payload of chocolate eggs. When ground control finally gave the word, there was a mass attack of young people scrambling onto the field to pick up as many as they could.

This event was the brainchild of Marcelo Lagos, who wanted to do something nice for the community kids. We try to find ways to give back to the community while participating in  our favorite sport. It was enjoyed by everyone, so, it was a success. We were happy to have had Julie Bell, the park manager, as well as two gentlemen from the FAA, in attendance.
